Loads of fluff and dirt in this lonGines

Ladies watch movement , on loads of medications as waiting on two operations one on my back and one on my shoulder so just practicing on this one , getting hallucinations of the medication so I will stop 🛑 and do a bit tomorrow, auditory hallucinations and stuff like that and it messes with my concentration so I have done good and will stop and do a bit more another days but doing ok 👌:-) smile at the world 🌎 and the worlds smiles back :-) onwards 

 

Re-silvering a 350 year old eagle 🦅 and good at it 🤪Board and hallucinations so I thought silver a 350 year old eagle 🦅 the eagle of the gods the golden eagle 🦅 brought back to its original state

Get a nice hard brush now I use special chemicals as obviously B.H.I 

You can see the old remains of the silvering 

Clear all the brasso some one had been using 

Came up nice didn’t it 

Get all that old brasso out of the crevices as it would react with the silvering processes

Nice hard brush I find if you cut the brush down it gives the bristles a bit more ummmf

Boom 💥 have some of that eagle 🦅 for a new coat for the winter 😜

Special compound to neutralise the chemical s 

Rubbing in the age old chemicals into it now truly this is a difficult task as i silver 300 year old clock dials in the past so an eagle 🦅 is a challenge but obviously had loads of practice in the past now truly I have seen some major cock ups take place of clock dials as any contamination to the chemicals or imperfections to the brass shine through 

Little parts of the birds that used to be silver bless its cotton socks , 

See the old silvering which is left over from the olden days like I say 350 years old 

You have to keep coating it with silver solutions rubbing it in it reacted best with real light sun light if you haven’t got good sunshine then a bulb 💡 with sunshine in it works great as well 

 Slowly but surly my eagle of the gods will get back to its former glory’s:-)

Shoulder operation imminent to smooth things out by the band , and the prelapsed retrolisthesis disk needs cutting aways as well so it’s tricky to focus as of medications

Speaking to the consultant and he was going on about snipping a big of bone away to give the band a bit more room to stop it hurting 

 In the back retrolisthesis prolapse disk so sitting isn’t so great so on morphine pregabalin and clonazepam so I get hallucinations if I do to much of them so there is a sensible amount of time I can sit down and fix watches

Had my covid booster this week and waiting on two operations so just a little practice while I waits for my operations, one shoulder operation and one back operation so keeping my self busy well busy enough and not to be going backwards 

 

Dial repair on the watch I was cleaning and showing how it’s done ✅

 

 Nice seeing them stripped down and cleaned apologies inside the gramma dyslexia and medications but pictures say a 1000 words

I do have a few watches waiting to be stripped down and serviced but my S1 disk needs to be operated on I am in a NHS queue for a back operation which has a tailback off a year 

S1 disk the left in blue is where it has been cut away in the last operation the part that has been getting worse is where the curser pointer is that’s the part that needs cutting out to release the pressure of my central nerve.

When sat in a chair leaning towards a watch 225 % more pressure is put on my spine while sat down on every ones spines in-fact, so I can only sit and do a few hours a day sat down so I am shut at the moment and on morphine and pregabalin and anti inflammatory medications,

So I will just be doing my own stuff for amusement for a bit as to take on customers work and be medicated up to the eye balls is a tad wrong isn’t it , 

I enjoy doing watches or anything as it’s interesting to me but my apologies if I go adrift a tad while stripping these watch movements down as obviously medicated up as of the wait in the NHS queue for back surgery:-)

There is the Patria w. Co. It needs to be stripped down as not working but it’s a lovely 🥰 quality and has some great history behind it , men always used to wear pocket watches and women used to wear the watches up into the Boer war
