The silvered chapter ring has Roman hour numerals with inner quarter and half hour marks and outer minute marks with Arabic 5 minute numerals. The makers name Thos. Stubbs London is engraved astride the VI. The hands are fretted blue steel. The plated movement has 5 turned and ringed pillars, anchor escapement and an internal countwheel controlling the strike at each hour on a delicate bell. Thomas Stubbs, London was free of the Clockmakers Company (1685 - 1726. He was keeper of St. Pauls cathedral clock up to his death in 1738. Height 6' 6""
