 Ever wondered why you couldn't set the hands on your high Beat watch. Things do wear out.
you can see the ends have worn away and now they don't engage the next wheel properly.

 This oil shouldn't be here to start with it will attract dirt and dust, It must of been put there to try to keep the clock going, so don't go making your clock look like this .  I need to clean all that away for starters. It looks like the escapement pallets have been bent in to much so i will bend it back out and pop some hardened steel shoes on the pallets and get them back to the right length and hight.

French Clock pivots

 When the pivots get like that they have to be ground down, all nice and flat again.
If all the pivots look like this on a clock and have to be straightened up then the clock will need bushing where this has taken place. I will do the first 3-4 for free in the service charge but any more then there could be an extra charge brought in.
